STUFFED SHELLS WITH MEAT

Make this savory, sweet Classic stuffed shells got an Instant Pot makeover! No need to pre-cook the pasta means no dirtying extra pot. You only need 1 hour or less!

INGREDIENTS

–  lean ground beef –  salt –  garlic powder Italian seasoning ricotta cheese egg –  mozzarella cheese  parmesan cheese –  jumbo pasta shells  –  water pasta sauce

Mix the Ingredients

Combine the ricotta cheese, egg, parmesan cheese & 3 cups of mozzarella cheese.

Fill the Pasta Shells

Place the mixture into a piping bag with a round tip (or a zip lock bag with one corner cut). Fill the pasta shells with the mixture.

Cook the Beef

Cook the ground beef on the sauté mode in your Instant Pot. Add the first layer of filled pasta shells on top of the ground beef.

Add Pasta Shells

Then, add all the remaining pasta shells in layers on top of that foundation layer.

Add Pasta Sauce

Add water & pasta sauce. DON’T be tempted to stir it!

Cook the Pasta

Secure the lid & set the Instant Pot to Pressure Cook/Manual for 8 mins on high. Once cooked, quick release the Instant Pot by turning the valve to venting. Open the lid.

Sprinkle Cheese

Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese & close the lid. Let it sit so the cheese can melt for about 3 mins.

Stir Well & Serve

Open the lid & give it a good stir before serving! All the meat is on the bottom, so gently stir from top to bottom & back to top.
